I’ve been a stay-at-home mom/wife for quite some time now, in this time I’ve cooked a lot of meals and baked a lot of desserts. Not by scratch of course because who has time for that at 25, this would be unheard of, while trying to raise kids and keep a household in order?  At 29 years old with a bit of a different outlook on life and baking from scratch was soothing to the soul. The first thing I ever made from scratch was cookies I believe, I could be wrong the memory isn’t as good as it used to be lol. Chocolate chip cookies recipe I found on allrecipes.com. When I realized I had most of the ingredients I needed already in my home that’s when I knew this would be a piece of cake lol I made a funny… From then on I vowed that all goodies would be made from scratch. On this journey of homemade goodies just for my household, relatives, and friends they started talking about how I should sell my stuff but in my mind I’m thinking they are just being nice. So in the beginning of October 2013 I decided to do a tasting just so others could try my goodies and I was expecting nothing of it. My very near and dear friend thought differently. She started saying I should have business cards, I should use this as an opportunity to start a business from home, and on that day Purplelicious Treats was born. On October 19th 2013, was the big day and I was nervous boy was I nervous. The tasting was to start at 3pm and people started to come as I was still frosting, smh, my time management was bad but I got it done and to see the way people reacted over tasting goodies that I had made with the help of my sister was breath taking, it was like having an out of body experience. Wow, they loved it, they really did and from that day forward I knew I was on to something.  Purplelicous Treats was in full business mode and orders started to come in and I was just as happy as I could be!
